Fand, Irish Sea Goddess
Riddles I
Far away the water run
through the wild wood
the wind is cracking
the chimes all laughing
and this is where I’ve stood
still in the sun
still in the rain
And times passing is little again© Brenda D. Baker

Spirals have been a recurring theme this summer. It started with some inspiration to start playing with them in knotwork triskeles. The first knotwork art triskele I did had such a strong water feel, that I decided to do an Irish element tripdict of them. While I was working to birth the forms in line art, a friend and I had a discussion about clockwise and counterclockwise movements in spirals and such. I am surprised at how controversial an idea counterclockwise movement are for some witches and pagans. I will go more into that another time.
